Schlegel Sale - 38

Worldwide Public Auction - June 8-11, 2026

We are delighted to present the main catalogue of our 38th auction.

This time, there is a particular focus on an extensive range of collections, including a substantial selection of international collections. Of particular note is a last-minute consignment of a Chinese collection, which will be auctioned in its entirety. In addition, you can look forward to a wide selection of attractive bulk lots.

You will find particularly interesting items in the special section „The Royal Letters of Sicily“, which comprises a collection of correspondence from 19th-century European monarchs to the kings of Sicily. This includes a letter from the 15th US President, James Buchanan, to King Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies.

In the single-item section, you will find, amongst other things, a fine selection of Bavarian No. 1 stamps. The range is complemented by many special items from the German Empire, as well as from the areas of Berlin and the Federal Republic of Germany. Another highlight is the extensive collection of Saarland stamps, which includes a remarkable number of deluxe s/s. Once again, there is a fine selection available for collectors of Zeppelin mail.
