1954 Ring-necked Duck, This remarque has been done with such delicacy that you almost don't notice the addition at first. In recognition of Harvey Sandstrom (although Michaelsen has titled it a tribute remarque). The gray sky has been extended
into the left selvage of the stamp and a color ring-necked duck, practically identical to the drake on the stamp painted flying off the stamp. In addition, Michaelsen has duplicated the reeds that are printed on the stamp. An overall fine example of

1956 American Merganser, A tribute remarque by Ken Michaelsen to Edward Bierly. Bierly, an exhibits designer for the National Park Service, spent 14 years visiting U.S. wilderness parks, adding to his knowledge of wildlife and its settings.
This experience helped him to win the Federal Migratory Hunting Stamp design competition three times. Michaelsen has added a hunter, standing in tall grass, to the selvage, with the grass blending on to the stamp. The hunter's clothing is a nice
