Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains 622 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike.
UNITED STATES, There are (74) U.S. lots offered, including some nice Classics, Grilled Issues, 1869 Pictorials, including an attractive set of Scott no.'s 112-117, and a nice example of Scott no. 121. You'll find Banknotes, Columbian Issues,
including a Scott no. 240 with gorgeous color! The 1922 Regular Issues, 1924-29 Issues, and couple of Kanas-Nebraska Overprints. The 1930 to date section has many beautifully centered and graded examples.
COVERS, There is a selection of (8) Commercial covers, including a Scott no. 10A 3¢ Orange Brown, Type II on folded letter, and (5) First Day cover lots, with a set of Famous Americans on First Day Covers.
AIRMAIL AND BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, There are (60) lots; an interesting mix of Airmails, a set of Shanghai/China Overprints, Officials (12), Newspapers, and a Local Courier Post Booket of 10. Finishing off the BOB issues, there are many examples of
Postal Stationery, with a Scott no. U66 XF, and a UX21 on postal card XF. Also, quite a few Revenues (ex: Scott no. R65a Imperforated XF), a couple Savings stamps and a SC127 World Stamp Expo card.
