Mail, Phone, Web and Internet Sale - May 26, 2021

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday May 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains 625 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike, including a large selection of graded items. A few of the highlights include the following:

  • UNITED STATES, There are about (50) U.S. lots, with a few early issues, including scarce 70c and 75 issues. There are a couple of Banknotes, and a nice selection of Columbians, a number of them NH. There are about (20) lots of the Exposition Era issues from which to choose. The U.S. material closes with a few Washington/Franklins and other 1920's issues.

  • COVERS, There are (52) Cover lots; (6) Commercial with two interesting Aeronautic Conference covers, a boxing ad cover depicting Joe Lewis on the canvas and a personal cover for Jeanette C. Rudy. There are (46) First Day Covers from which to choose; an interesting and nice selection of covers.

  • AIRMAIL AND BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains over (38) lots of Airmails and Back of Book issues, with several nice Postage Dues and Newspapers.

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, a selection of (17) lots including (4) interesting stamped envelope errors.

  • GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, about (145) lots with a variety of countries including: Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Greece and Iceland . There are a half dozen collections with nice cut squares (1-postage and 1-airmail), and a terrific European Cinderella collection.

  • DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior and State) contains about (300) lots, which includes about (30) lots of Cards, licenses FDC and miscellaneous items. There are (8) Federal collections, (14) Junior Duck stamps, and a selection of (24) Federal Plate Number Singles, (109) Federal Duck singles and Plate Blocks; (8) Mini-sheets and Press Sheet pieces, (15) Duck Errors, and about (20) Federal and State Artist Signed. A selection of (41) State Duck stamps and (23) Governor's Edition lots, Conservation and Fishing items. The sale ends with a selection of (13) Prints; (8) Federal, and (5) State & Conservation Prints, with scarce RW7 and RW9. Quite a selection of prints from which to choose!
