Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, February 26,
2020 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains 595 lots, with material
in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers
alike. A few of the highlights include the following:
UNITED STATES, There are about (110) U.S. lots, (28) Classics &
Banknotes that includes a nos. 2, 99, 120 & nice 90 cent Carmine 155; (3)
Columbian lots including a gorgeous 15cent NH, (12) 1890's Regular issues,
Trans-Mississippi, and Louisiana Purchase lots. There are also about (35)
Washington-Franklins and other early 20th Century issues including a #505
in a block/9; and lastly about (30) 1930 to Date with a good selection of
graded issues (19), 50/50 SUPERB 98 & GEM 100.
COVERS, There are about 3 dozen lots; (11) being Commercial covers
including a few very fancy cancels, and quite a selection of (25) FDC's.
AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (20) lots of Airmails and
BOB with exceptional copies of distilled spirit revenue stamps; RX43&44.
ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, (27) lots with a selection of scarce
imperforates including 1 cent Guitar coil pair, 18 cent Surrey Joint Line
Pair and others, misperfs, color errors; e.g. U612a w/Blk omitted and U632a
w/Greenish-Blue omitted and other oddities.
GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, about (108) lots from a variety of
countries that includes great selection of Germany, German Colonies &
Offices; a few Great Britain lots; also about (10) U.S. Collections
including Stamped Envelopes & Postcard lots, couple commercial cover lots,
Foreign Collections, and Seashell and Political button topical collections.
DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior and State)
contains about (290) lots; including (6) FDC's and miscellaneous with a
Card #1 and an RW56 on FDC w/cachet by Gary Burghoff (RADAR of MASH), (2)
collections, (18) Junior Duck items, (35) PNS's, (125) Federal Duck issues
including an RW9 PB/6 & a few graded copies; (19) Mini-sheet & Press sheet
lots that includes an RW77 Center Gutter Block/16; (18) EFO's, about (30)
Federal & State Artist Signed and a couple with remarques,(1) Governor's
Edition lot. Ending the sale, are (31) prints, consisting of (3) Federal
(RW53, 55 and 56) and (28) State prints with a number of 1st of State.

Exposition tickets, two collections of wonderful, colorful labels &
historic state library documents.
