Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains over 700 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:
  • UNITED STATES, There are about (85) U.S. lots, (4) Classics & Banknotes that includes a #1&2, (6) Columbian lots, (10) 1890's Regular issues, and Trans-Mississippi & Louisiana Purchase lots with a gorgeous copy of #299 the 10 cent fast ocean navigation. There are also about (20) Washington-Franklins and other early 20th Century issues including a #505 in a block/9; and lastly about (40) 1930 to Date with a good selection of graded issues (36), mostly SUPERB 98.

  • COVERS, There are (53) lots; (7) being Commercial covers including a D.O. Blood local (15L16) w/an 11A, and quite a selection of (46) FDC's.

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (40) lots of Airmails and BOB.

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, (43) lots with a selection of imperforates, misperfs color errors and other oddities.
