Mail Sale - March 28, 2018

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 1:00 PM, CDT. The sale contains over 600 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:
  • UNITED STATES, There are about (180) lots with about 60 Classics & Banknotes with some nice items such OG #68a, 70, & 76; a very nice group of 1869 Pictorials incl. a #120, & #124; and gorgeous #'s 151&189; about (25) Columbians', Bureau issues and early Commemoratives w/especially nice 239, 240, 241, $4 & $5 and a sharp looking 276A; about (25) Washington/Franklin & 1920s Commemoratives; and about (20) 1930 to current; many very nice items from which to choose.

  • COVERS, a nice selection of about (22) lots of Commercial, & FDC covers including some nice airmail covers.

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (90) lots of Airmails and other BOB lots, with several lots of excellent Postage Due & Officials. (e.g., a gorgeous O65).

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, about (30) lots with interesting selections of color varieties and shifts, perforation faults and other types of EFO's, including an imperf pair #639.
