Mail Sale - January 10, 2018

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, January 10, 2017, at 1:00 PM, CST. The sale contains over 650 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:

  • UNITED STATES, There are more than (280) lots with over 75 of Classics to Banknotes with some rare and scarce items such as a no's. 13 'curl' variety, a gorgeous 28b, and a 28A Indian Red; and very nice 1869 Pictorials; about (12) Columbians including nice examples of the $1, and $2; about (100) Washington/Franklin & Commemorative lots 467 strip/3 and a 505; over (30) 1920s Regular Issues, with a complete NH set of both Kansas and Nebraska overprints; and about (20) 1930 to current; many very nice items from which to choose.

  • COVERS, a nice selection of about (60) lots of Commercial, & FDC covers including some nice airmail covers.

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (80) lots of Airmails and other BOB lots, with an outstanding set of VFXF NH Graf Zeppelin issues.

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, about (30) lots with interesting selections of color varieties and shifts, perforation faults and other types of EFO's.

  • GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, over (20) lots with a variety of countries.

  • DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior & State) contains about (190) lots: Junior duck stamps, Federal singles, Plate Blocks, Artist Signed about (25) a few PNS and Federal Errors. Also, (45) State lots; and (20) Indian Reservation stamp lots. Several Governor's Editions are also included.
