314 veryfine   imageChina 1951, Registered Canvas Bag Cover – Tea Sample Sent from Shanghai via Canton to Italy Unusual and scarce postal item: small canvas bag bearing postal markings and adhesives on both front and back, used as the mailing container for a tea sample, sent registered by the China Tea Corporation from Shanghai via Canton to Italy, 1951. The canvas bag functions as both the cover and packaging, with franking and registry labels affixed directly. An exceptional example of mid-20th-century commercial trade-related postal usage, illustrating unconventional packaging methods during the early PRC export period.
