69     image1952 April Rate Shift: Israel to NY, USA Covers:  a pair of covers illustrating the change in international postage rates on April 1st, 1952, where the new rate is set at 220pr per 25 grams.  The State of Israel's official reused stationary envelopes  posted from the Ministry of Transportation and dispatched to New York, The first cover, posted on April 3rd, 1952, bears a mixed franking totaling 680pr, including 80pr 23rd Zionist Congress (Herzl) stamps (Sc. 51), tied in quantities of eight, and a 40pr Festivals stamp (Sc. 54), all canceled with 'Hakirya 3/4/1952' postmark. For the second cover, dated April 29, 1952, a mixed franking of 880pr is observed. It is properly franked with 500pr Negev stamps (Sc. 25), a 30pr Coins pair (Sc. 21), and an 80pr 23rd Zionist Congress (Herzl) block of 4 stamps (Sc. 51), all tied with a 'Hakirya 29/4/1952' postmark.(Image 1) (Image 2)

72 Airmail cover , veryfine   image1952, Israel state official Air-Mail EX Cover, dispatched from the Ministry of Labour, Housing Department, located in Hakirya, Tel Aviv. This cover featured a mixed franking totaling  in 1,195pr.,  rate for international mail which included the following stamps: 1,000pr. 1952 Menorah stamp (Sc 55) ;  85pr. 1952 Fourth Coins stamp (Sc. 61) ; 110m. 1952 Independence Day stamp (Sc. 64).  All stamps were neatly canceled by a single Hakirya postmark dated July 29, 1952. The cover was addressed to the Government of Israel Supply Mission at 250 West 57th St., NY 19, NY, USA. Upon arrival, it bore a postmark dated August 3, 1952.(Image 1)

Total postage of 755 Pr. includes a horizontal strip of three Jerusalem 250 Pr. stamps and Coins 5 Pr. This cover exemplifies the FA-3a period (April 1st, 1952 onwards) rates: 220 Pr. for airmail letter and 80 Pr. for express mail fee.  The covers bears a hand stamp in black 'מ' on both the front and back sides, denoting the Hebrew letter for Office ('misrad')."  routing and NY arrival postmarks dated May 13, on back side.(Image 1)

74 Cover , Airmail cover , veryfine   image1951 Airmail & Express Wrappers, a lot of three airmail mailing wrappers for the Haaretz newspaper in Tel Aviv, Israel, each addressed to Jacob Shapira at the Government of Israel Supply Mission in NY, USA. They bear the FA-2a airmail rate of 80 Pr., plus an express fee of 40 Pr. There was no printed matter fee at the time. 75 First day cover , extremelyfine   image1949 Jerusalem 250pr (Sc 24) stamp with full tab affixed onto a Road to Jerusalem First Day Cover (depicting the walls of the Old City with the citadel), tied with a Tel Aviv FD pmk dated February 16, 1949,  alongside  a commemorative cachet marking the inaugural session of the Constituent Assembly of the State of Israel. Additionally, the cover bears a 5c USA stamp, canceled in New York with a UN special cancellation dated May 11th, commemorating the day Israel joined the UN. The item is in very fine condition.
