Includes approximately 200 covers with letters represent a correspondence between (Episcopal) Rev. Frank L. Norton and his wife Jane Watkinson of Middletown, Connecticut from their courtship in 1866 to marriage on October 2, 1873 and continuing through 1886 and beyond. Includes Return to Sender Service Suspended to Italy cancelled on December 7, 1941, two Shanghai China, one to Tokyo, France, etc. Likewise involves WW II censored to Northern Rhodesia, Iceland, and Belgian Congo. Also entails one mailed to South Georgia in the Falkland Islands and one to Denmark cancelled on April 1, 1940 eight days before the German Occupation and then held for six years.
