Many of these FDCs are on full color cachets and are works of art themselves. Other binders contain commemorations of Papal trips or events. The photo album contains some covers celebrating the art of the Sistine Chapel. This collection is not only beautiful but chronicles important events for the Papacy through the latter part of the twentieth and beginning of the twenty-first centuries. 777 c image(9) Horizontal pair neatly tied by Boston, Mass Paid cancel on an illustrated Coat of Arms cover addressed to the Assessor of Petersham. In 1863-64 this envelope was supplied to voters in Massachusetts in order to counter supposed unfairness in the casting of votes which were then to be enclosed in the envelope. The Boston Paid postmark did not come into use until 1863, thus this is a spectacular illegal use of the demonetized 1851-57 one cent stamp.
