521 og imageA pair of Kabe hingeless albums in dust cases running to 1994. Contains all mint (mixed hinged and NH). Starts with a nice copy of # 5 with an increasing percentage of spaces filled as the collection proceeds forward. Includes Plane and Plowman airmails, officials and other BOB. Previous owner wrote catalog numbers or notes on pages lightly in pencil, easily erased to salvage nice albums. Five Danish West Indies reproduction sheets useful for plating are thrown in due to lack of fit elsewhere. 522 og/^ imageVery nice collection in a Scott Specialty to 1989, mixed mint and used, hinged or in mounts. Owner catalog is over $11,500. The DWI selection is good but missing a few of the earlies. Denmark itself has solid earlies missing only a handful of issues well into the WWI timeframe. BOB is very strong in semis, airs, dues, officials and parcel posts. Highlights include #6, 15, 68 used and 78, 82, 138,141 mint. A beautiful collection deserving of continuation. The earlies are strong, missing only a few issues in the 19th and early 20th century. BOB is also good with semipostals, airmails, postage dues and parcel posts. Well worth checking out. 525 og/^ imageA stockbook and trimmed down album pages for this not often seen country. Both sections run to about 1960. The stockbook contains the most value with numerous mint and used sets, often duplicated. Both have some modest value in the first or second issued sets. Also includes a piece of paper or parchment covered in Amharic characters the origin or purpose of which is a mystery. Interesting lot. Few, if any, classic clunkers to inflate the catalog value. Owner total retail of $26,302 is about 2/3rds of catalog value at the time of placing each page in stock. 531 og/^ imageCollection on 19 customized quadrilled pages plus 4 stock sheets. We counted 593 stamps but did not include the duplicates that are neatly shingled. Arranged in groups, four pages cover the period from 1849 to 1900, some issues are duplicated. One page covers the German occupation of 1870. Eight pages have clear city or fancy cancellations. Six more pages have offices abroad. The stock pages include more issues from the offices. Stamps are a mix of mint and used. All pages are pictured. These are beautiful issues and well organized. Early BOB is also spotty but fills in for later years. Coverage in the modern timeframe is very strong. Some souvenir sheets are present including the 1925 International Philatelic Exhibition. Some covers add an interest factor. Nice for further continuation. 533 og/^ imageAn oddly preserved collection, all in clear mounts then placed in a pair of simulated alligator-skin photo albums. Despite the strange collecting approach, there is much of value here. Begins with a #1 with PF cert and continues to about 1976. Includes better classics, better semis and airs. Condition varies but improves as it moves forward with NH to be found. We checked a dozen or so stamps and all were unaffected by the photo album adhesive. Moving to a nicer album will make a nice collection.
