93 og/^ imageFive-Volume Set of Scott Brownies. Classic collection of several thousand different mint and used 1840 to 1939. Plenty of better values, with hundreds of complete og sets and abundant attractively canceled used material. Mainly F-VF condition, expertly and accurately hinged onto relatively clean pages. Good representation of all areas, with the two later volumes especially well-populated. Some items might have been removed from the collection or moved, especially in the first three volumes. Certain stamps might require an expert’s eye for full evaluation. The album covers are functional, and the pages, intact. The consigner prepared adding tapes showing the total 2007 Scott catalogue value of each volume; the total catalogue value of all five volumes is over $70,000. 95 og/^ imageCollection in 17 Scott Specialty albums. All but one of these is the 3-ring type with metal hinges. The sole exception is the Great Britain Machins which is a 2-post binder. The albums are for Argentina, Australian dependencies, Czechoslovakia (2 volumes), France (2 volumes), Germany (4 volumes), Guernsey and Alderney, Poland (2 volumes) and Russia (3 volumes). There are hundreds and hundreds of stamps, mint and used, mainly in black mounts. France is thin in the 19th century but has some good items like #s 48 and 64, both used. Twentieth century issues are well populated. The Germany albums are: States, Colonies and Administrative Areas; American, British and French Occupation; DDR. Value is widely distributed except for Russia and France which each have significant contents. This lot could easily be broken down for resale. There is a set of Scott Specialty pages for Italy Part II (1934 to 1970) that is quite well populated with a mix of mint and used, two Lindner hingeless albums for Germany from 1970 to 1991, a third Lindner album has Berlin issues, an older KABE album, also of Germany with some good coverage in the post-WWI period to the late 1950's, a stock book of UN and one of Israel. One box is mixed world-wide but has some nice Great Britain including some Machins, a second box has a combination of Australia, New Zealand and Ghana, another box has a great deal of Korea. Still another box has loads of Australia in glassines and Canada on pages. The boxes and albums have recommended prices noted for easy resale at a bourse or Internet, so just lay them out or reprice them as you see fit.
