 Postal Card Collection. Large, comprehensive collection of several thousand regular postal cards, paid reply postal cards, air post postal cards, and official postal cards. Comprises over 18 volumes. Covers UX1/UX3 onwards, with an
emphasis on pre-1950 material. Cards are arranged according to use, cancels and auxiliary markings, rates (uprated cards and postage due), the presence of slogan cancels, etc. Special attention is devoted to preprinted advertising, add-ons such as
drawings and photos, foreign destinations, unusual written messages, and the once-popular Will Call cards announcing the arrival of traveling salesmen. Also contains a box with around 1,000 cards waiting to be added to the collection. F-VF
