308 og/^ imageLarge lot of Machin stamps, heavy on booklets on several binders and stock books. Rough count of 300 or so booklets, including several prestige, plus many stamps and multiples. Most of these have been well organized using a Deegam’s 1999 catalog (with supplement) and a copy of ‘Demystifying the Machins’ from 2018. Something of a gold mine for a Machin collector or someone who is looking for a new collecting field. Along for the ride a part set of the Jubilee Omnibus set and some other commonwealth material. Worth a look. 309 og/^ imageClassic Extravaganza. Three-part combination lot with a total Scott catalog value of around $14,000. Part one consists of two attempts at reconstructing nineteenth-century panes by letter position. One attempt focuses on Scott #3 and is well on the way to completion with 129 stamps. The other focuses on #20 and appears to be complete with 240 stamps. Condition varies, but much material is F-VF. Includes paper and color varieties along with some premium cancels; stamps are unchecked for watermarks. Estimated catalog value is approximately $6,200. Part Two is a plate reconstruction staged on two stock pages. Includes plate #203 x 166 different positions and plate #114 x 125 different positions in mixed condition. Catalog value is approximately $2,000. Part Three is a mounted collection of over 200 mostly different stamps from 1850 to 1951. Primarily used, with an owner’s catalog of over $6,700. Usual condition mix, but we noticed many attractive examples of classic favorites. 311 og/^ imageImpressive collection from 1840-1973 in a Scott Specialty album in a medium box. Includes thousands of mixed mint and used stamps in full, partial sets, and singles. Highlights involve used Scott #1-2, 57 (2), 110 (London killer cancel), 124 142, 176 (difficult to find green one pound), and 209 UPU. Many classic pages are duplicated creating the opportunity to purchase twice as many items. Terrific for possibly finding different cancelations and varieties. High catalog value needed to be viewed to come up with the right number. 315 og/^ imageStrong collection of mostly mint to 1968 in a Scott specialty album. Starts out all used with much better than average Franz Josephs, then a very helpful selection of the 1870’s and 80’s difinitives with perf variations. The 20th century is extensive starting mixed mint and used. Beginning in the late 1950’s it’s all mint NH to the end. The BOB is almost all mint with the NH starting in the 1940’s. There is no post WWI occupations to worry about among the over 2500 stamps. Therefore, straight forward with none of the duplicates counted in the catalog value.
