United States unusual accumulation from 1932-1934 in one carton. Over 650 USS Indianapolis ship cancelled cacheted and uncacheted covers. The USS Indianapolis was a heavy cruiser which after delivering uranium for “Little Boy” the first
nuclear bomb in WW II was sunk on July 30, 1945, by a Japanese submarine having a great loss of life after the sinking particularly due to exposure. If you are interested in WW II naval history or had a relative on board this ship, this is a rare
