& 1d Arms x5 tied by four just-discernible strikes of 'NORFOLK ISLAND' cds (first type without 'NSW' at base), addressed to "Mrs MA Watson, Lavender Cottage, High Street, Ashby, Doncaster, Lincolnshire" England, carried via Sydney with
'R' in oval handstamp applied on face, sealed on reverse with Arms stamp selvedge overstruck by Sydney 'REGISTERED/AU2/01' & London '9SE01' transits and Doncaster arrival backstamps, minor transmission marks. Illustrated by Collas &
Breckon at p.25. The rate was 2½d UPU foreign letter plus 3d registration fee (the 2d concessional British Empire letter rate was not extended to include Great Britain until 1/4/1905). (Image 1)
