Phoenix Auctions Sale - 95

Worldwide Public Auction - October 27-28, 2022

Welcome to our 5th main Auction for 2022. This is being held over two days, Thursday 27th to Friday 28th October and will be live on the net via our own auction systems. Just login as usual and then open the Live Bidding window. This will then give you the ability to bid on each lot just as if you were in the room. We are now able to have normal viewing and Auction Room attendance.

This is a large auction with nearly 2,000 lots, we will have 2 busy long days.

Session 1 (lots 1-423) starts at 10.00am on Thursday and just features Kangaroos & KGV Heads. Varieties and shades abound, there should be something for every one here.

Session 2 (lots 424-978) starts no earlier than 1:00pm on Thursday, and continues with Australian Commonwealth issues, including collections, Lot 610 (est $10,000) is noteworthy for the valuable range of items in it. There is another wide-ranging array of illustrated FDCs in this session as well.

Session 3 (lots 979-1337) starts at 10:00am on Friday. This session continues the Australian lots beginning with illustrated Advertising covers and Postal History, continues with Australian Colonies with a fine selection of early Federation CTO sets. This session finishes with Australian Territories to Nauru (AAT is after Antarctica in the following session).

Session 4 (lots 1338-1996) starts no earlier than 1:00pm on Friday. This session continues with New Guinea & Papua and then world collections, ephemera etc, followed by Rest of The World lots. As always there is a good range of British Commonwealth varieties. Some notable parts of this session include more of Peter Cranwell's Polar Collection, incl TAAF and South Georgia, and an interesting group of pre-war Indian flight covers. Also a wide range of military covers and an unusual group of 1950s Tibet commercial covers.
