Phoenix Auctions Sale - 93

Worldwide Public Auction - June 16, 2022

Auction 93 is being held over two daysbroken into 4 sessions:
  • Session 1 (lots 1-284) starts at 10.00am on Thursday and just features Kangaroos with a wide range of shades, monograms, imprints and varieties, with a good mix of single items and group lots. It includes Lot 64, a commercially us £1 brown & blue perf large ‘OS’ and lot 103, a fine used 2d Die IIA Wmk Inverted , as well as a wide range of mint & used Bi-Colour Roos.
  • Session 2 (lots 285-817) starts no earlier than 1:00pm on Thursday, and contains KGV Heads, including a used 4d violet Line through FOURPENCE and the rest of the Australian Commonwealth period followed by BCOF. Varieties continue to be well represented as well as, FDCs, Postal History, with some nice groups of illustrated Advertising covers, Postal Stationery, Coins, etc are included in this session.
  • Session 3 (lots 818-1217) starts at 10:00am on Friday. This session just features Australian Colonies and Territory lots with a strong selection Victoria onwards and finishes with the Australian Territories. There is a good selection of stamps and postal History as well as a wide range of postmarks and some very useful registration label lots.
  • Session 4 (lots 1218-1705) starts no earlier than 1:00pm on Friday. This session is just world collections, ephemera etc, followed Rest of The World lots. As always there is a good range of British Commonwealth varieties. It also contains a good selection of China Collections (lots 1395-1429) and a rare and interesting range of Italian States (lots 1559-75).
It will be live on the net via our own auction systems. Just login as usual and then open the Live Bidding window. This will then give you the ability to bid on each lot just as if you were in the room. We are now able to have normal viewing and Auction Room attendance.

Viewing is available from 10am to 4pm Sunday to Friday, including the Queen’s Birthday weekend.

Our next main auction will be held in mid-August and will feature a large Polar section and we are still able to accept better material for this Polar section of our August auction. We will be attending the Antarctic Exhibtion on 26th to 28th August at Princes Wharf No 1 Shed, Hobart Wharf ( adjacent to Salamanca Place), Hobart. We will be very happy to meet our clients and to receive consignments. We will also be happy to bring lots over to be collected by successful bidders who are attending the Exhibition.
