Phoenix Auctions Sale - 2192

Worldwide On-Line Auction - January 19-20, 2026

Welcome to Phoenix Auctions #2192, being held on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th January, both days starting at 10am. This will be our 1st Auction for 2026. We hope you find the wide range of lots appealing and interesting.


Session 1 (lots 1-1435) Monday with Australia through to Tasmania. Session 2 (lots 1436-3211) Tuesday with Victoria, WA and Territories and then Rest of World.

As usual there are many variety lots, particularly in the Roos and KGV Sideface issues as well as many rare FDCs, Coins, Revenues etc. There is a good range of Australian Colonies with a wide range of stamps, postal history and postmarks including a excellent range of Roller Cancels (lots 761-71) with a probably unique group of Airmail Trial slogans (lot 761). Registration label collectors will find both collections as well as many groups of Registered covers organized by label type.

Rest of World collectors are always well catered for. There are close to 900 lots in this section and the General & Single Country sections of the auction. There is a wide selection of Foreign & British Commonwealth, with many pre-1970 mint & used sets. The wide variety of lots from many countries, including stamps, Postal History, Stationery, etc, which ensure there is plenty to choose from. Notes:

  • Most collection & accumulation type lots have a reserve of 50% of the estimate.
  • The buyer's commission is just 22%.
  • New bidders need to be aware that, while there is no room bidding for these auctions, viewing, phone bidding and live internet bidding are still available. Lastly, live bidding will skip over lots without any form of bid, so please enter some sort of bid, even if it is just $1, to ensure that these lots appear during live bidding. We hope you find its wide range of lots useful and interesting.
  • Viewing is available 10am-4pm from Sunday 11th to Sunday 18th January (excluding Saturday 17th). Our address is Suite 2, Level 1, 441 Canterbury Rd, Surrey Hills, 3127. Call or email us if you need more information about a lot.
  • Auction 2192 is an on-line auction and will be live on the net via our own auction systems. Just login as usual and then open the Live Bidding window, the link is active from 20 minutes before the start of the auction. Live Bidding gives you the ability to bid on each lot just as if you were in the room. We also have phone bidding available.
  • We would like to get your successful purchases in the mail as quickly as possible and you can help by providing us with your preferred payment option when you bid.
