Welcome to Phoenix Auctions #2189, being held on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August, both days starting at 10am. This will be our 9th Auction for 2025.

Session 1 (lots 4001-5538) Monday with Australia through to Tasmania.
Session 2 (lots 5539-7347) Tuesday with Victoria, WA and Territories and then Rest of World.

As usual there are many variety lots, particularly in the Roos and KGV Sideface issues, including a 1d red single line perf used block of 12 (Lot 4102), FDCs (many rarities), Coins, Revenues etc. There is a good range of Australian Colonies with a wide range of stamps,
postal history and postmarks including a excellent range of rare NSW numeral cancels with several unrecorded including ‘362’ (Lot 4986), ‘909’ (Lot 5024),‘1277’ (Lot 5056) & ‘2044’ (Lot 5110).

Rest of World collectors are always well catered for. There are over 800 lots in this section and the General & Single Country sections of the auction. There is a wide selection of Foreign & British Commonwealth, with many pre-1970 mint & used sets, France, French Colonies & Germany
all have a useful selection of lots, including collections. The wide variety of lots from many countries, including stamps, Postal History, Stationery, etc, ensure there is plenty to choose from.

Notes: • Most collection & accumulation type lots have a reserve of 50% of the estimate.
• The buyer's commission is just 18.15%.
• New bidders need to be aware that, while there is no room bidding for these auctions, viewing, phone bidding and live internet bidding are still available. Lastly, live bidding will skip over lots without any form of bid, so please enter some sort of bid, even if it is just $1,
to ensure that these lots appear during live bidding. We hope you find its wide range of lots useful and interesting.
• Viewing is available 10am-4pm from Sunday 10th to Sunday 17th August (excluding Saturday 16th). Our address is Suite 2, Level 1, 441 Canterbury Rd, Surrey Hills, 3127. Call us if earlier viewing is required and call or email us if you need more information about a lot.
• Auction 2189 is an on-line auction and will be live on the net via our own auction systems. Just login as usual and then open the Live Bidding window, the link is active from 20 minutes before the start of the auction.
Live Bidding gives you the ability to bid on each lot just as if you were in the room. We also have phone bidding available.
