Worldwide Internet/Mail Auction - July 10th, 2025 - We’re pleased to share with you a short overview of our upcoming sale. 61th Stamp Auction – Rare Stamps & Postal History Highlights This sale is not just a philatelic event - it also marks an important milestone in the history of our house: BEHR becomes the first French philatelic house to accept cryptocurrency payments. On the French Classics front, rarity lovers will be delighted: prestigious tête-bêches such as the 25c Cérès mint - one of only three known examples - or the 1 franc Cérès used, a striking block of 25 of the 25c Empire imperforate with frame lines, as well as multiple striking miscuts, including a quarter sheet of the 80c Empire Lauré. The Franco-Prussian War of 1870 also takes the spotlight, with a carefully curated selection of Ballons Montés: uncommon destinations, an exceptional letter from courier PELVILAIN, and a particularly rich section focusing on Alsace-Lorraine. To the Commonwealth, a unique block from Fiji, from the legendary Ferrary collection - a rarity that will be featured in a dedicated article on our website. Also from the Southern Hemisphere, a chapter is devoted to the elegant triangular stamps of the Cape of Good Hope. Finally, a broader European and worldwide overview is in order, including three of the four famous Bull's Head issues of Moldavia (Romania), and a dense, diverse and noteworthy chapter on Colombia, which truly deserves your attention. All these treasures - and many more - await your discovery in our sale. Enjoy exploring - and once again, thank you for your continued trust! Best regards, Pascal, Louis-Edouard Behr and their team.
