Franked 2 x NZ 40c stamps, canc very unclear red rubber cds (of type made in NZ) with "DARWIN" at top (legible) & "NZ Forces Post Office" at bottom (illegible in this example). At bottom, good complete rubber cds (blue) "NZ BATT III / EAST TIMOR" (Kiwi at top) 24 DEC 2000. Sender's address on back. Cds used by NZ Army Infantry Battery 3.

Also cancelling the stamp is a red NZ postal meter "F885" with "DARWIN" in datehead section & date 19.XI.00. Cds used by NZ Army Infantry Battery 3 (1 of 2 NZ batteries with peacekeeping forces). Sender's address on back. Mail from this deployment is now hard to find. Fine cond.
