c1940-45 WWII OAS air cover to NZ (no d/s used), franked Aust 3d GVI canc anonymous barred obliterator (black) & "H.M.A HOSPITAL SHIP" straight-line h/s (violet). Two diff Passed by Censor h/s (1 Australian, with No 47 & signed "A.C. Dickens", the
sender: 1 NZ, "DDA/12"). Cover is rather rough, with piece missing at top centre & associated tear. Scarce item.

1942 WWII air cover to NZ, franked 1941 3½d on 3d GVI SG 201, canc fine "A.F.P.O. No. 201" cds 17 NO 42, fine oval h/s (violet "R.A.A.F. CENSOR 456" (signed). Cds used at Gurney Air Strip, Milne Bay, New Guinea 12 Nov 1942-46 (so this is a very
early date). Good cond (small segment of flap missing).

ringed "I" & "2" h/s violet & m/s "49 Bty FWD". Boxed NZ-type h/s (blue) "Please inform sender of your correct address". Sender gives his address on flap as at "A.F.P.O. 71, Townsville" Qld). Fine & interesting.
