1934 air cover ex GB to NZ franked GV 4d & ½d canc London cds 30 DE 34. Charged postage due (correct rate was 1s 3d). On arrival, NZ circular "TO PAY" h/s added with m/s "1/9" (1s 9d to pay, being 10½d deficiency + 10½d fine). NZ 1d p14 x 15 +
block of 17 on back (1 damaged, over Sydney transit d/s), all canc Christchurch Postmen cds 3 JA 35). Remarkable cover. Had Christchurch run out of 3d PDs? Good cond. Ex Jim Shaw.
