669 C 1934 amateur enthusiasts' QSL card used as postcard: operator ZLIHR (Leo Goodwin, Paeroa), to ZL2HL (Wellington). Posted without stamp, Paeroa cds 13 JL 34. Charged Postage Due, 1d Postage Due added & cancelled unclear A-type cds (probably Wellington, used without date). Good condition.

670 C 1935 printed OHMS cover ex Dept of Health (ptg code "75,000/12/133-11602]") to Wellington doctor. Posted stampless (as normal), canc Te Aro cds 15 FE. Pencil m/s "Refused. B. Hughes Steele". Apparently then charged 1d postage due ("TO PAY 1d ..." circ h/s) & 1d P Due stamp canc undated Wellington A-type cds). Also with (partial) pink Wellington octagonal rubber d/s 21 FEB. Unusual usage (doctor unhappy with the Dept?) Faint overall toning traces, otherwise fine.

671 C 1935 cover (light overall soiling) GB to Palmerston North, NZ franked GB 1½d GV canc London d/s 1 MAY & charged 20 gold centimes postage due. Apparently carried on R.M.S. Niagara & found open on arrival in NZ. Resealed by 3 NZPO "Officially Sealed" labels, canc by 6 mostly fine strikes of (violet) oval r/s "N.Z. MARINE POST OFFICE / R.M.S. NIAGARA" 10 JUN 1935. This d/s is RARE (not normally seen on mail). Added NZ "TO PAY 2d ..." circ h/s & pair NZ 1d P Due canc Palmerston North "Registered" cds 11 JE 35 (though this cover is not registered!) Further "DELIVERY" cds on back. A most unusual marine PO item. The Niagara sank 5 years later, in June 1940 when it struck a German mine on leaving Auckland.

672 C 1936 a somewhat roughly opened, undelivered reg'd/reg'd AR cover ex Christchurch 24 DE 1936, bearing 3d Pictorial & 4 x 1d Kiwi. Contents indicate that this should have been sent reg'd A.R, & not indicated thus on cover but postage rate was indeed correct for this service. Cover travelled to Sumner, Waimate, Redcliff & Glenavy before receiving Christchurch unclaimed 19 JAN 1937 octagonal d/s. Corner missing.
