Wangaroa (WR 1857-96, to Whangaroa) 1860-75 range of 5 fine entires/covers, all with manuscript pmks (from 3 diff locations):
a) & b) folded stampless entires x 2 to Court of Claims, Auckland with "Wangaroa" dispatch m/s 30 July 1860, 19 Oct 1861 (with typed transcripts of both letters ex James Shepherd); c) cover to Tasmania with 1d & 2d FFQ, each with scrawled m/s ("W"?);

Whangarei c1870s-2005 postal district (Northland) extensive postmark & postal history colln, approx 575 covers & p/cs, 1200

1887 Soldier's concession rate inward cover to NZ "Australian colonies" ex India from active serviceman William P Underwood,
bearing 9p (SG 77) & labelled "Via Pont de Galle and Melbourne" in red. Countersigned by "Commanding Officer" on the side with Underwood's rank & regimental attachment along the top. Indian & NZ (Oamaru & RTPO) cds on reverse. Aged cover with
