It shows some of the thousands of items & services that have been taxed over time, with an approach to social aspects of taxes, eg: Beer Duty [incl very fine condition NZ], divorce [incl GB 1886 6d & 10/- SPECIMEN ovpts], oysters, playing cards, royal military appointments, & slaves etc. Champion (2004) rates British licences: “a” = common to “g” = not seen. This exhibit includes “e” x 1, “f” x 5 & “g” x 3. Approx 4.3kg. Gold medals at Indonesia 2022, IBRA 2023 & EFIRO 2024. Ex Jenny Banfield.
