Fine condition overall. Virtually all 3 or 4 margins with fine cancels. All stamps obtained from major Swiss or German dealers (incl 13 items with dealers' expertising certificates). Vol 1 (mainly used) commences with 1847 5c Franklin GU; then has a good range of subsequent issues, with dupn, shades, perf & grill varieties etc, as well as various commercial & patriotic covers. Vol 2 (mainly used) commences with 1893 Columbian Exbn (1c-$1, $3, & $5) with additional dups on 3 more pages; Omaha set + dups GU/FU; with later issues aplenty having imperfs, coils, 1908 5 sided bisected imperf 2c Washington pair, shades, perfs etc. Vol 3 (mainly used) commences with 1909 Lincoln, then contains shades, perfs, coils, perfins, covers & dups. The s/b contains 1893 Columbian Exbn 1c, 8c & 15c MNG as well as 6c FU; additionally, a useful range of 1940s-60s mint/MUH. Folder contains 1960s-c1990 mint/MUH sets, etc, on 18 Hagners.
