This makes the Focos shiver considerable now I tell you, the whigs jollify considerable, in Towanda they burnt 1 barrel of tar and threw fire balls about the street when they heard the returns frm Penn, this was not all they sung songs and shouted for old Tip and drunk some hard cider…The Focos in Tonawanda had prepared an Ox for a dinner if this state went vanburenism…The momentum which the Log cabins has given to the cause of whigism is not to be checked very easy, certainly not by…that is vanburenism…", Very Fine and unusual with a great political content.

May 24" cds and matching "Paid" rating handstamp to New York City, Very Fine and scarce printed campaign circular.

The Liberty Party was founded in 1840 and nominated James G. Birney for president in 1840 and 1844, receiving only 6,797 votes in 1840 and 62,103 votes in 1844.
