It was in the battle of Corinth, in the Kentucky, Tennessee and North Georgia campaigns, and lost heavily in the battles of Farmington, Perryville, Murfreesboro and Kenesaw Mountain. From Dalton to Atlanta it lost 5 men, and at Nashville lost 28 men. As it was during the greater part of the war in the reserve artillery, it saw extremely hard service, being continually in demand.
