Rumsey Auctions offered another lesser stained example of this Myers & Co. design from the same Randolph, Ohio sender in Sale 55 Lot 1149 (ex-Selzer). American uses of this London propaganda covers are quite rare.

Ferry was a prominent Michigan Democratic politician and Mayor of Grand Haven at this time. He was chairman of the executive committee of the Michigan State Woman Suffrage Association. There are records of Ferry's correspondence with Anthony and Stanton.
