2074 cover   image1822 (May 24), Twillingate to London, transatlantic folded cover via the Scotland, manuscript "1/10½" rate, struck alongside by framed "1/2", reverse with superbly struck framed Greenock / Ship Letter, black three-line Greenock datestamp (21 Jun) and circular Glasgow transit (21 Jun), red circular London receiver (24 Jun), addressed to Rev. Anthony Hamilton at the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, a scarce origin and choice strikes, very fine and scarce.

The Twillingate origin is based on docketing on the cover identifying T.G. Laugharne, then serving as a local Minister, who had traveled to the area in 1820. Laugharne's time in Twillingate appears to have been spotty; records note that parish members and written Rev. Hamilton regarding the appalling behaviour of their minister, noting that he had shown the "vice of falsehood," as well as having cast aspersions from the pulpit, and failed to attend services for 85 weeks at the chapels, and failed to visit one parish for over twelve months.
