954   image1852–1981, mint and used Canada & British North America collection in a Harris album, showing a pleasing balance of classic and later material, with early highlights including the 1852 3d Beaver, a representative group from the 1859 Decimal issue, a mint 1897 $1 Jubilee, a used 1908 50¢ King Edward VII, a complete used set of the 1908 Québec Tercentenary, and a used pair of the 1929 50¢ blue Bluenose, together with British North America issues such as a mint 1865 24¢ blue Queen Victoria of New Brunswick, the balance comprising additional better singles, attractive cancellations, and a few corner blocks among more common material, most stamps sound though with the occasional minor fault as expected, a solid and characterful Canada & BNA collection well suited for the collector seeking a foundation to build upon or upgrade selectively. 955   image1852/1965, extensive used collection, highly complete for the period and mounted on older White Ace album pages in protective sleeves, features good Pence and First Cents issues including an 1852 3d Beaver, 6d Consort, 10d Cartier and ½d Victoria (each with faults). Includes full basic sets of the Large Queens, Small Queens, and Jubilees to the $2 with many being well-centered, the Maple Leaf, Numeral, Edward VII, and Champlain Tercentenary issues are all complete, back-of-the-book is substantially complete for the album (excepting postage dues) and includes the 2c registration stamp, nearly a dozen scans illustrate this impressive used accumulation, overall fine to very fine. 956   image1852/1926, impressive early mint Canada collection, on Lighthouse hingeless pages with a significant portion being never hinged, carefully assembled with a focus on centering and gum quality, noting a very fine mint 3d Beaver on wove paper (Sc. 4), a 6c Large Queen (Sc. 27, appears never hinged), a 12½c blue Large Queen with lovely color and superior centering, Jubilees to the 50c including much never hinged, the Queen Victoria Leaf and Numeral issues are all never hinged, Edward VII set is complete including never hinged 2c, 5c, 7c, and 10c, Tercentenary set is never hinged, includes a nearly complete Admiral issue missing only five coil and War Tax stamps with many being never hinged, the total catalogue value includes $1,000 Unitrade for the three Admiral War Tax overprints (not listed in Scott), usual minor faults on earlier issues including a short perf on the 50c Widow Weeds and the odd potentially regummed stamp (including the 50c Edward VII), otherwise a notable collection, rarely offered in such an intact holding, overall fine-very fine, with all stamps shown in our online scans.
