Grafen zu Castell' (Count of Castell) featuring elaborate chancery calligraphy, carried by regional messenger and pre-dating the formation of the Thurn & Taxis post, showing letterlocking remnants and circular wax seal stain on reverse; a well-preserved example of early pre-stamp postal history.

The interior text, written in dense German Kurrent script, serves as a formal notification from the local council and magistrate (Schultheiß) regarding the death of the clergyman Dr. M. The interior text, written in fluid German Kurrent script, opens with the salutation 'Hochwohlgeborne freundliche liebe... Schwester und Gevatterin' (High-born friendly dear sister and godmother) and discusses financial matters regarding family pensions and a petition for a 'gratification' to settle outstanding debts, mentioning Joachim Albrecht as a key figure in deliberations requiring a unanimous resolution.
