Where it was not clear, we have cited the least expensive shade/variety. Included also are numerous additional shades. The Common Designs are also basically complete in period. This remarkable collection had been put away for many years, thus the colours are super fresh and vibrant, and it is definitely worth a closer look, despite the 90 images that accompany it. Overall fine to very fine and not often offered this nice. (All Scans)

1716 O/og/nh   imageSelected British Commonwealth Country Collections from Classics to the 2000s, mostly on computer generated pages in three attractive binders. Included are collections of Australia, New Zealand plus Cayman Islands on older quadrille pages. The Cayman Islands is where most of the value is, and this collection includes some 5 shilling, 10 shilling and pound values of the definitive sets of George V, George VI and Elizabeth. The Caymans collection is mostly mint and we estimate to be half complete to the 1990s. The Australia collection we estimate to be about 70% complete by album illustration from the first few issues until the early 1990s. The New Zealand collection is in it's early phases. Overall fine to very fine. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (Scan 8) (Scan 9) (Scan 10) (Scan 11) (Scan 12) (Scan 13) (Scan 14) (All Scans)

1717 O/og/nh   imageCollection / Accumulation of Mint and Used British Commonwealth, consisting of a few thousand stamps in two 64 page stockbooks. The first stockbook has a larger representation of issuing countries, with the second stockbook being roughly half full with a focus on India and area. The material has good selection of Victorian issues overall, but generally ranges from King Edward VII to King George VI. We note most of the issuing countries are represented , including British Guiana, Ceylon, India and area, Gold Coast, and Trinidad. A few highlights (using S.G. numbers and values) includes Bahamas #31x (inverted watermark, unused,, c.v. £180, accompanied with a Sismondo 2004 certificate), St. Kitts #23x (Specimen, m.h., c.v. £55), along with some stamps cataloguing $10 and up in Scott. A good lot for the specialist with the potential for finds. A cursory check of the mint stamps indicated mostly light hinging with a few never hinged stamps. Online scans show a representation. 1720 O/og/nh   imageBritish Guiana and Guyana Mint and Used Collection, 1860 to 1987, on older album pages in a binder, including many better issues such as #s 83 (used c.v. $90), many other Seal of the Colony issues, 168 (used c.v. $90), 239a (used c.v. $600), more. We noted numerous varieties. The British Guiana collection often features the mint as well as the used version of the same issue. The issues of Guyana are over 80% complete from 1966 to 1970, often with a used and mint example of each. There is also additional material tucked in throughout and at the end of the collection.
