Group of 38 Squared Circle Towns on QV Postal Stationery Cards, 1894-1899, all different, including 5 with two squared circle towns on the same card (Glencoe + Mt. Brydges, London + Mt. Brydges, Waterloo + Mt. Brydges, Strathroy + Mt. Brydges and Cornwall + Dundas). Some of the better towns we noted include Powassan, Wellington, Tara, Little Current, Springhill, Bleeker Street, Wooler, Woodville (light), Hagersville, Saut Ste Marie, Spadina Avenue, Flesherton, and many more. Group of 7 Different 2-Ring Numerals on P1 Post Cards, with #s 12 (St. Catharines, 1873), 15 (Brantford, 1872), 26 (Windsor, 1875), 27 (Ingersoll, 1873), 38 (Bowmanville, 1874), 46 (Dundas, 1873) and 59 (Clinton, 1872). Accumulation of Railway Post Office Cancels on Stamp, from across the country, in a box, consisting of roughly 500x 102 cards, containing 493 different R.P.O. cancels (all identified with Ludlow numbers and accompanying rarity factor) with over 2,900 stamps (on and off paper). The stamps range from Small Queens, Jubilees and up to the 1950s (we note a few Newfoundland items), usually with readable strikes and good centering. The lot includes a detailed 5 page inventory. On average, each 102 card contains 1 to 5 examples of each R.P.O., with some cards containing more. The majority (roughly 180 covers) have privately printed cachets, noting makers: H&E, JCR, Scott, Rose Craft, FT, Capital and Cole. Better items include #301 (c.v. $90), along with a few replacement cacheted first days. Accumulation of Roughly 700 Private Cacheted First Day Covers, consisting of nine albums and loose material. The range of material is generally from the late 1950s up to the early 1970's, with a few on either side of the range (including a few Official first day covers). The majority appear to be unaddressed and are franked with singles, multiples, sets and a few plate blocks. We note a number of private cachet makers including: Jackson, Cole, JCR, Caneco, H&E, Harford, and includes a few from the Canadian Bank Note Company and noted a few replacement cachets. The lot also includes roughly fifty E.S. Hubbell & Sons Ltd. #10 sized first day covers (many including Post Office stamp announcements).
