Extensive Collection of Mint and Used Canada, 1951-2013, on hundreds of album pages ranging from Unitrade #s 303 to 2652 (looks to be complete with basic set of stamps). We noted mint never hinged singles, plate blocks, souvenir sheets, booklets and sheets. Also included are 4 annual collections from years: 1985, 1986 (x2), 2000 Millennium Collection (still sealed). Face value was counted from 10c on up only (834x "P" stamps counted at 92c each). The collection also includes used stamps from the aforementioned range, including House of Commons cancels mostly from the 1980's and First Day covers (starting from 1967, noting private cachet makers NR Covers and David "C" Cachets). Collection of Mint Blocks and Plate Blocks, 1897 to 1980s, displayed in black stock pages, in black mounts on pages, and in glassines, a very diverse collection starting with blocks of #s 51, 52, 74, 75, 76 (includes a very fine NH single), 87, 1c to 20c Edward blocks and two imperforate 3c Admiral blocks. From beginning to Admirals, many blocks have no gum, a few are heavily hinged and a few have some NH stamps. The following material to the end appears to be all mint never hinged, including better items such as #s 151 (c.v. $320), 209 (c.v. $320), 216 ($72), Peace issue plate blocks to the 50c ($307 as very fine) and more. From this point to the end we counted 415 different plate blocks (regular blocks and coil strips not counted), with many high denominations, sets, Officials, etc. Online pictures only show a few of the pages, and an overview of the glassines. An in-person examination is recommended to better appreciate the value in this lot, whether for plate block, or block, or face value. Mint Never Hinged, Used, and FDC Collection of Canada, 1950-2013, in four gently used Lighthouse albums, one binder, and assorted mint never hinged material. The binder consists of primarily mint stamps from 1979 to 1988, with a face value of $134 (counting 17c and up only, with the majority in the 17c-34c range). The binder also includes 24 private cachet FDC's from 1968, ranging from Unitrade #s 478-489 (duplication up to two, noting cachet makers Smith and Norwood as well as unknown cachet makers for stamp issues: #482, 484, 487, 488-489). The assorted mint never hinged material includes a 1992 year set (with stamps inside) along with singles, booklets, and sheetlets, and the face value for these comes to $114 (counting 37c and up only). The four Lighthouse albums contain used stamps, primarily from 1950 to 2013 (we note a small representation of earlier issues). The Minkus pages consists of mint and used Canada, ranging from 1852 to 1967 with better Scott #s: 4d used (2 margins, c.v. $225), 14 used (c.v. $90), 15-20 used (missing #16, c.v. $825 total); used Large Queens 21-30 (c.v. $1,290); mint hinged Jubilees 51, 56-58 (c.v. $675 total); used Jubilee 59 (Halifax c.d.s., c.v. $190). From 1897 onward we estimate 98% completeness up to 1950, noting full sets of used Leaf and Numerals (c.v. $446), Edwards, and Scroll Issues, along with mint hinged set of Québecs (102 no gum, c.v. $913). The stockbook contains mint hinged and never hinged stamps ranging from 1940 to the 2000's, with a face value of $121 (counting 10c on up only, with the majority being in the 17c to 30c range, with roughly 20x "P" stamps counted at 92c each), along with a face value of $205 for loose material (includes 86x 1978 Capex souvenir sheets, $1.69 face value of each), The collection continues with about 300 first day covers ranging from 1957 to 2000, with roughly 45 being pre-1971 with private cachets (the vast majority being Rosecraft cachets), along with many sets and plate blocks from the 1990's and includes Millennium FDC's. The collection also includes a binder of about 30 covers, with the majority ranging from 1910 to the 1930's. The majority of the covers contain what appears to be a family correspondence to Almonte, Ontario and subjects relating to teaching (majority of these were opened rough).
