Printed on thin, surfaced card in black, with guidelines and signed by designer A. Mignon at bottom. Very fine. It was usual for stamps printed in more than one colour to have a separate die proof printed for each colour plate, and in this case, two colours were used, thus two die proofs printed in black, as the intensity of the details were made more evident.
