385 E/P 3R image6d Queen Victoria Set of Post-Contemporary Reprint Die Proofs, in 10 colours or shades, each on card stock measuring 97 x 64 mm. According to Kasimir Bileski, these were printed in England from the original die in about 1940 and sold publicly to raise funds for the British Red Cross, prior to the plate being transferred to the museum of the Royal Philatelic Society, London. The non-Tilleard proofs in this lot appear to be contemporary (or at least late 19th century), and we have only seen very few comparables, most of which were in Sparks Auctions' January 2018 offerings of the L.S.
