1664 O/og Switzerland imageSwitzerland Advanced Old Time Collection, 1850 to 1954, quite comprehensive and neatly displayed on quadrille pages in an album. The collection is strong in paper and perforation varieties. The early imperforate issues are represented with 32 stamps with many shades, silk threads and papers (we have counted these as the least expensive varieties, so there may be some surprises). Also present are many of the Seated and Standing Helvetias with many better including used #s 41-50, 67, 82-88, 89, 93, plus other varieties. The collection is quite complete for used issues from 1900 to 1954, and there is a good showing of airmails, postage dues and franchise stamps, but no semi-postals or officials. Many of the later issues are present in both mint and used condition. Overall fine to very fine, we recommend viewing this one in person in order to better appreciate its value and depth, even with our many online scans. 1666 O/og/nh Switzerland imageSwitzerland Mint and Used Collection and Accumulation to 1985, in a Minkus album and in a binder. The collection in the album is mostly used, with some mint present from 1960 on. It starts with the first Helvetia issue and is nearly complete from 1862 to the end, including semi-postals from number B1 on. Most of the missing items such as souvenir sheets, some airmails and officials will be found in the binder. Also in the binder are single stamps (Scott 10 and 12, c.v. $160 each, faults) and sets including most semi-postals into the 1950s, some Société des Nations and I.L.O. (B.I.T.) officials. Huge value there. Two Italian pre-philatelic covers to Switzerland and a few Belgian souvenir sheets complete this offering. Faults on some early material.
