LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
1342 O/og/nh United States imageUnited States Accumulation of Mostly Used and Back of the Book, from the Late 1800s to 1950s, consisting of hundreds of stamps, housed in two stockbooks as well as glassines in one shoebox. Many of the older issues feature interesting postmarks and fancy cork cancels, are displayed in no specific order in the stockbooks, and we noted a mint #55, 57 (miscut), 112, as well as many other Franklin, Jefferson and Washington issues. The back of the book is well represented with hundreds of stamps such as internal revenues, documentary, cigarettes, wines, special delivery, airmails, early postage dues, several state issues and so on. An expert touch could easily enhance the potential of this interesting group, which is better than the average similar consignment. Some faults to be expected, but overall lot is fine to very fine. See photos for a small glimpse of the content. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (Scan 8) (Scan 9) (Scan 10) (Scan 11) (Scan 12) (Scan 13) (Scan 14) (All Scans)

1346 O/og/nh Vatican City imageVatican City Mint and Used Collection, 1929 to 1980, housed in one Minkus album in black mounts, very close to complete in the period, only missing a few stamps. We checked about a quarter of the collection and found that most stamps to 1955 appear to be hinged, from then on mostly MNH. There are many instances where both a mint and used copy are included. We noted the 1952 Centenary of the Roman States first postage stamp souvenir sheet of 4, Scott 153a (CV $150) and some additional stamps on stock sheets into the mid-1980's in this collection, desirable to either a collector or reseller.
