108 O 21/30 imageCollection of Used Large Queen Pairs and Strips of Three, with the ½c (strip of three and pair joined together before being postmarked, plus 5 other pairs), 1c brown red (three pairs), 1c yellow (one pair), 2c (three pairs and a strip of three), 3c (a vertical and a horizontal pair), 6c (four horizontal pairs, including a dated pair on soft white blotting paper 27ii), 12½c (one pair with clipped perfs) and 15c (eleven pairs, two strips of three and a block of four). We note a good variety of shades and postmarks (many dated, crowns, corks, 2-ring numerals, etc), and mostly unchecked by us for papers or other varieties. A rarely offered group, with overall fine centering and only a few small faults noted. Catalogue value is for all singles only, and for the least expensive shade, paper or perforation. 109 O 22-28 imageValuable Collection of Fully Dated Large Queen Stamps, all presented in chronological order on a two-sided stock page, each stamp showing the day, month and year, consisting of the 1c to the 12½c values (the fully dated 15c values were lotted separately). There are a total of 79 stamps here, obviously with many shades and unchecked for papers or other varieties, but note many nice socked on the nose strikes from small to large towns, mostly c.d.s. and broken circles, but also saw RPO and even a nice AP 22 94 Peterborough squared circle on a 1c brown red which is unreported and probably unique. Many stamps are very fine centered, saw one obviously faulty 2c and there may be other small faults, still a useful lot for the Large Queen specialist. A rarely offered lot. 118 og/nh 43, 43c, 43ii image1890s 6c Red Brown Small Queen from Plate A (3-dot state) with Major Re-Entries, a mint strip of four with sheet margin at left from positions 21 to 24, with the first stamp showing a "lesser 5¢ on 6¢ re-entry" (Position 21) and the last stamp showing a major re-entry with doubling in CANADA, POS, CENTS and of the design at bottom left (Position 24). Well centered with full original gum, position 24 (major-re-entry) is never hinged, others hinge-reinforced. There is a fairly serious crease across all stamps, from the production process, breaking the paper fibers on both middle stamps, still very fine appearance and an important multiple.

This example of the major misplaced re-entry from position B25 is quite strong and easily seen, fine. An important multiple, as only a handful of multiples of this major variety are recorded.
