1769 O/og/nh British Commonwealth imageBritish Commonwealth Balance of Better Dealer Stock, from many different countries, most identified by catalogue number and housed in dealer pages or 102 cards. We estimated over 400 items, mainly from the George VI era onwards, consisting of singles, many sets and souvenir sheets, as well as part sheets, with very little duplication. We noted many items in the $5.00 to $20.00 catalogue range, with a few in the $100 range. When adding prices marked by the owner (not all items), we come to a value over $2,600. Also included are 60 booklets from Jersey (duplication up to 20 of each) with a total face value of approximately £70. Way too many items to list here, see scans for an idea, better yet inspect in person. Good catalogue and retail value here, an ideal lot for the online reseller. 1771 O/og/nh British Commonwealth imageBritish Commonwealth Mint and Used Collection and Accumulation in 15 Stockbooks, arranged alphabetically by country and by catalogue number order, from the Victorian era to about 1985. This mostly mint collection covers Aden to Zululand in varying degrees but no Canada, Australia, India or New Zealand. Duplication is usually quite low with very few items in more than five copies. We estimate half of the value would be in older items from the reigns of Victoria and the Kings and half in the reign of Elizabeth for which items are far more numerous and multiple copies more frequent. We noted Bahamas Scott #56 (cv $250), Bahrain Scott #31-4 (cv $132), Bangladesh group of 20 Pakistan stamps with transition “Bangladesh” handstamp overprints, Barbados and other Caribbean countries with many MNH sets to $10, Cayman Islands Scott #44e (cv $150), Ceylon first and second issues and so on. Our many scans only cover a very small sample of the large and valuable offering. Very fine.
