1447 CVR   image1929.DEC.29 Delhi to Croydon First Flight Cover, mailed Calcutta to Stephen Smith in London England, this cover is franked with a recently issued 2a air mail stamp, plus two obsolete Officials (1R on 25R KGV and 2R on 10R KEVII), with an early air mail label reading "Give your letters wings / Use Air Mail". Back has DEC.29 Delhi datestamp and JAN.9.1930 Kensington oval registration receiver, alongside a Calcutta registration label. 1448 CVR   image1929.DEC.30 Jodhopour to Croydon First Flight Cover with Incorrect Flight Cachet, mailed Dodhopour on DEC.30 to England, with Hyman's (recipient) note on back indicating "rec'd 9 Jan 1930". The flight cachet indicates "Karachi to Delhi" which is incorrect. Very fine, and described in Mr. Pont's exhibit as "This cover is one of the scarcest of Indian flown items, as not only were there ten items carried on the first flight but the first flight cachet is incorrect. 1449 CVR   image1929.DEC.30 Hyderabad to Karachi First Flight Cover with Incorrect Flight Cachet, with stamps cancelled by flight cachets (instead of Delhi datestamps), described by Mr. Pont in his exhibit as "Rare Indian item. The cachet is incorrect should be Delhi to Karachi and not Karachi to Delhi, as the letter was carried on the first flight from Hyderabad, originating at Delhi". 1452 CVR   image1930.JAN.17 Delhi to Croydon First Flight Cover with Stamp Variety, lovely cacheted envelope is franked with a sheet margin vertical pair of the 8a Air Mail stamps, with top stamp showing the "Missing tree-top" (S.G. #224a £250 used), also indicated in light pencil on cover as "Foliage missing". The selvedge is signed by the stamp's designer G. Grant (plus another signature), with another "G. Grant 17th Jan" signature on back alongside signature of Stephen H. Smith.
