There are 60 auction cards from local stamp club auctions as well as larger auction houses. We counted about $6,000 in catalogue value for this lot, which includes mostly Newfoundland, but also a few others. A cursory look lead us to believe that the majority of the mint stamps are hinged. 2119 og/nh 61/270 imageMint Collection on Lighthouse Hingeless Album Pages, 1897 to 1947, mostly complete in period for regular issues, and includes extra copies of some, (a few used duplicated were not counted). Noted some shade and other varieties and other material mostly not counted, as well as a collection of postal stationery (mostly unused). The air mails are represented by a 1932 surcharged issue and a set of 1933 issues. Most are hinged but we did note some never hinged here and there. Also includes 44 different crude "forgeries" of Newfoundland stamps plus another 13 different from BNA provinces, all handstamped "FAUX" on back and printed in black. Overall fine or better. 2125 nh   imageBox of Various Mint Canada, with a little of everything, including singles, blocks, lots of plate blocks (mostly sorted in glassines), sheets (saw at least two 1970 Christmas sheets with centre blocks), etc. Saw a rare (first we've seen) 1979 Rio UPU Congress presentation book with $32 face inside. We only counted face values above 10c and these are sorted by denomination in envelopes (for example, we counted 109x 50c, 43x $1 and 22x $2). There is also a large quantity of uncounted values under 10c, and there is a spreadsheet included for the counted postage. (Scan a)
