2016 O/og/nh   imageMint and Used Collection in a Large Carton, starts with a nice collection on White Ace pages, with some faults in the beginning, but essentially complete from 1928 to 1979, including very fine (mint hinged 50c Bluenose and $1 Parliament), also a UPU presentation book (1965 revised edition with blocks of four), and five stockbooks containing plate blocks from the 1950s to early 1970s, appearing to be all NH based on a sampling. Also includes nine small plate block albums and two plate files containing more plate blocks from the 1950s to 1970s, as well as miniature panes and postage dues. We noted Centennial and Caricature coil rolls in their original plastic dispensers, as well as approximately 100 glassines containing blocks and plate blocks of the QEII era (up to the 1970s). Also saw a stockbook and binder full of mostly used stock. Nice clean lot, inspection is recommended, as scans only give a small idea. We counted over 40 complete sheets (of 50 or 100 stamps) with denominations mostly 10c or lower and came with a face value for these of more than $350 (not counting a further 62 part sheets and many plate blocks). 2022 O/og/nh   imageLot of Interesting Items, starts with a collection of mint never hinged varieties, all neatly mounted on pages with good material including strong aniline offsets, shifted colours, misperforations, hairlines on the 1c Québec, Centennial and Caricature varieties, many hibrite stamps, "missing raven" in a strip of three, some tagging varieties, sixty blocks of 20 precanceled stamps #593xx (top of the sheet), forty blocks of 4 or more of 586xx including one warning strip of 20, six blocks of 4 of #715 including the missing spire variety, and more. A group of 140 FDC, all with a cachet depicting a Canadian Mountie made by "Monsieur Timbre" (first we have seen), all with Ottawa machine slogan dated MAR.9.1973 and 7 have a red INTERPEX New York 1973 cancel. A stack of CPC New Issue cards from 1971 to 1973 in the smaller, less common format. A group of 22 MNH mini panes, some still in their original cellophane packaging, three sheets and a souvenir sheet of high values (face $64) and a handful of FDC. 2024 O/og/nh   imageMint and Used Collection in 4 Binders, usually with both a mint and a used stamp for most of the issues from 1939 to the end of 2005 but partially filled from the Large Queen to the 1938 Pictorial issue. Stamps are on quadrille pages with never hinged items presented in clear mounts. We estimate the face value in this collection to be well over $750. We noted also a sparsely filled back of the book section with majority being used Officials and Postage Dues. Also included is a respectable United States mint and used stamp collection housed in a Seal album with the majority of stamps from the early 1950s to 1983. 2025 O/og/nh   imageMint and Used Collection in 2 Binders, from 1859 to 1992 on Unity album pages. While we noticed some mint stamps, mostly in the modern era, the overall collection is populated with used stamps hinged on pages. The collection starts with used #14, 15, 17, 18 and appears complete from the Arch issue going forward. We noticed used SQs, LQs, as well as a complete Quebec set, a Bluenose and much more. The back of the book is well represented with a complete used sets of air mail, special delivery and registered issues (including the 8c). We noted two mint officially sealed stamps (OX3 and OX4). The Newfoundland stamp collection although partially filled, has some complete sets such as a mint pictorial and long coronation issue. Also included is the popular letterhead depicting BNA stamps used for advertisement by the stamp dealer Arthur A. Bartlett, with the better watermark. Furthermore, you will find a small group of Bileski stamp variety offerings including 5 stamps #790 with the 1 bar tagging (tagging database $25 each), some "stick n tick" covers and labels, a mixed lot of about 50 modern covers and first day covers and a small bag of mostly modern used off paper stamps.
