We note some better destinations from the 1950s such as Indo China, St Martin, French West Indies, etc., an 1816 Montreal stampless letter with straightline postmark, a 1932 Quebec Parliament registered cover, 1906 Cheltenham squared circle on card, 1932 Ottawa Economic Conference meter, 1918 Toronto letter addressed to a soldier in France "Died of Wounds" and a few more interesting items. 803 CVR   imageCollection of Covers Signed by Postmasters from Each Province, 1955, with 11 covers, each with a hand drawn colour insignia from each province, franked with a 5c Wilding and mailed to Ottawa. Each cover is also signed by the postmaster of each Provincial Capital where the covers were mailed from (the NS, NL and BC covers are not signed). The Ontario cover was mailed from Ottawa and signed by Hon. Charlotte Whitton, the first female Mayor of any major Canadian city. She signed in on her birthday on March 8, 1955 (this cover has staining). The collection is accompanied by 11x #10 OHMS covers addressed (but not mailed) to the same person in Ottawa, each with the Provincial coats of arms label applied. Overall very fine.
