2024 Summer Auction - August 8, 2024

This Auction features 2 strong general Estates including some very rare specialized section, especially Malaya Great Britain and British Europe: Great Britain rarer 19th Century high values; Cyprus has a £5, rare mint; Malta shows the rare 10/- both mint and used. British Africa is strongly represented (the boss’s favorite): British Central Africa (Nyasaland) has 3 different £10; Madagascar large Consular Mail, 30 different stamps; Togo includes 2 Mark values and major overprint rarities; the ever popular Zanzibar shows high values to 200R. British Asia: India Convention States has many “used” high values; the aforementioned Malaya features a very strong section with values to $100 and some amazing Japanese Occupation overprints, multiples and errors. British North America: Newfoundland includes a 1/- orange-vermillion # 15; Canada is quite comprehensive featuring a superbly centered perforated 6d Prince Albert, Jubilees complete. British West Indies (and Western Hemisphere): British Guiana shows mint classics; Falkland Islands has most of the key major numbers; Grenada highlight is a rare mint #1a; Trinidad surprises with a #77 never hinged(!). British Oceania: Australia ranges up to £2 ‘Roos (5 different!); New Britain up to the 5/- on 5M, mint plus rare errors; New Zealand is strong 19th Century; North West Pacific Islands has a rare large block.
